— our services
Installation of chemical damp proof courses using Safeguard Dryzone cream injection, a proven, low-disruption method for arresting rising damp in walls where the original DPC has failed, been bridged or is absent entirely.
— about this service
A damp proof course is the horizontal barrier within a wall that prevents ground moisture from rising up through the masonry. In many older properties, the original slate, bitumen or engineering brick DPC has cracked, been bridged by raised ground levels or render, or never existed at all. Procure Damp Proofing Group installs chemical damp proof courses using Safeguard Dryzone, a controlled-release cream injected into a continuous drill line at the base of the wall. Dryzone diffuses through the mortar bed to form a water-repellent barrier across the full wall thickness. This approach is less disruptive than traditional physical DPC insertion, works in both solid and cavity walls, and when combined with contaminated plaster removal and specialist replastering, provides a durable, guaranteed solution to rising damp. All installations follow Safeguard manufacturer guidelines and are carried out by technicians who have completed the Safeguard training course.
— our process
A Procure survey confirms the presence and extent of rising damp, the wall construction and the appropriate drill spacing and injection specification for the Dryzone system before any work begins.
A continuous line of holes is drilled at the correct height into the mortar bed. Dryzone cream is injected into each hole in a controlled dose, after which holes are repointed flush with the surrounding mortar.
Following the required cure time, contaminated plaster is removed and walls are replastered using a Procure-specified damp-resistant system, completing the remediation and restoring the internal finish.
— benefits
Dryzone is a market-leading chemical DPC product. Used in line with Safeguard's installation specifications, it provides reliable, long-term rising damp resistance in both solid and cavity wall constructions.
Procure technicians have completed the Safeguard training course, ensuring injection dosage, drill spacing and hole preparation all meet manufacturer requirements for optimum, lasting performance.
— faq
Original DPCs can crack with age, be bridged by raised external ground levels or render, become ineffective through physical damage during building works, or simply be absent in properties built before DPCs were standard practice.
A failed or absent damp proof course will not resolve itself. Get in touch with Procure Damp Proofing Group today for a survey-led assessment, honest advice and a transparent, no-obligation quotation for a lasting solution.
— Other Services
A chemical DPC injection alone will not resolve rising damp. Contaminated plaster must also be removed and specialist plaster installed. Procure manages the complete programme so every element is coordinated and carried out in the correct sequence.
